The Good Life Classroom began with a simple question:
What if learning how to live a good life mattered just as much as everything else we learn?
Not a perfect life. Not a life without struggles, setbacks, or uncertainty.
A good life.
One where we know we matter. Where we keep growing. Where we discover what makes us feel alive, care for ourselves and others, build meaningful relationships, and use what we have to make the world a little better.
We believe those things can be learned, practiced, and shared.
And we believe the classroom is bigger than four walls.
Meet Mr. K
Hi! I’m Bobby Kennedy, although many of my students know me as Mr. K.
I’ve been an elementary school teacher since 2007, teaching second through fifth grades in Colorado and Idaho. Over the years, I’ve helped students learn everything from multiplication and reading comprehension to science, history, and writing.
But some of the lessons that seemed to matter most weren’t always the ones found in a textbook.
They happened when a student realized they belonged.
When classmates encouraged one another.
When someone discovered a talent they didn’t know they had.
When we laughed together, sang together, asked meaningful questions, or noticed an opportunity to help someone else.
Those moments reminded me that education can do more than prepare people for the next test, the next grade, or the next job.
It can help us learn how to live.

The Good Life Classroom started as an idea- how do we help show kids how valuable their young lives are while also preparing them for good and fulfilling lives in the future? My name is Robert Kennedy (Mr. K), and I am the teacher behind TGLC.

I have been an elementary school teacher in grades 2-5 since 2007. In those 19 years, I have noticed that the lessons that seem to truly stick with my students long after our year together.
